David Donato is the founder of Donato, Inc. He brings a quarter-century of real estate investment experience to your projects, marked by a proven ability to navigate complex markets and deliver strategic outcomes. Most of his distinguished career was spent at Continental Realty Corporation, a highly successful real estate investor and operator based right here in Baltimore, Maryland.

David played a pivotal role at Continental, serving in various executive positions during the company’s significant transition from the real estate arm of a two-family office to a full-fledged private equity real estate fund sponsor. During this transformative period, David was instrumental in building and reforming teams and processes. He had a major hand in the formation of six funds, cultivating a deep and practical knowledge of real estate operations and asset management. His final role at Continental was Chief Operating Officer before he departed to found Donato, Inc.

Beyond his extensive professional achievements, David is an alumnus of Dartmouth College and holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland. He remains an active member of the professional and local community, serving as President Emeritus of the Dartmouth Club of Maryland, Chair of the Membership Committee for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), and a member of industry associations ULI and ICSC. He is also a dedicated member of the Board of Directors of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore and is a passionate advocate for and fan of Baltimore City.
